A couple of days ago I was asked if I wanted to purchase an entire lamb, and I thought sure, why not. You can’t get lamb at the grocery here; Mongolians want their animals to get good and old before they end up in the meat department. So this was really the only way to get a lamb. And it’s organic. And free range.
So picked it up completely frozen and whole, and I have a friend who was going to help me butcher it. But I didn’t think it through, and you can’t really butcher a lamb that is frozen solid. So, now it’s sitting in her tub thawing out, and I will go back tomorrow morning to finish the job and make it ready for some delicious dinners.
